I got my first dose of Corminaty vaccine 90 days after recovered from Covid-19 last March 2021. I registered as the carer of Sr. Michelle as two carers can accompany persons aged 70 and above. Both of us went to Yuen Long Sport Center for the vaccination. I felt a little bit painful in the upper arm for few days.
Sr. Michelle and I booked our second dose of Corminaty vaccine last April 2021. She reminded me that I am a recovered Covid-19 patient during the screening so the staff canceled my vaccination booking as only one dose of vaccine is needed for recovered Covid-19 patient. I didn’t think to said that I am a recovered Covid-19 patient because I got my first dose. The earliest article about one dose for recovered Covid-19 patient on google was Mar 31, 2021. Later on, I got two short messages to book my second dose because the booking system has not been catered.
I asked Centre of Health Protection (CHP) how to show on the Leave Home Safe apps that I only need one dose of vaccine as two dose is needed to meet the vaccine bubble regulation. Later on, the government announced about obtaining updated paper vaccination record. I went to Yuen Long Sport Center for the updated record, “the second dose: not available.”
Then I found out that Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requires two weeks after the second dose of vaccine, regarded as fully vaccinated, not to be in quarantine upon arrival in USA. I asked CHP to get the second dose by email and going to the vaccination center without success. So, I agreed to be quarantined 10 days upon arrival in Maryknoll Center mid September and get a dose of vaccine afterwards. It means my intention to help our General Assembly (GA) during my renewal won’t be happened as I will be released from quarantine after the GA is finished.

My youngest sister organized Astra Zeneca vaccination drive with the help of Mr. Wijaya, the leader of the three teaching Bo Hway Bio temple （茂淮庙）, in our home town last Jun 28 2021 for around 400 workers from several factories including their foreign workers from Taiwan and Mainland China so I helped as the Putonghua-Indonesian translator.
Around three hours after bought my ticket to USA, I got an idea to ask our Integrative Care Ms. Susan last Aug 19 whether getting a dose of vaccine in Indonesia will free me from quarantine in US. She suggested to get a dose of Astra Zeneca and I would not need to be quarantined if I arrive two weeks after the second dose.
My sister and brother didn’t know whether I could get first dose of Astra Zeneca vaccine during the vaccination drive on Aug 28, 2021 because it’s plan for the second dose so I registered a vaccination at PeduliLindungi apps but there is no information when, where and what kind of vaccine on the ticket yet. I sent an email to our public community health centre on Aug 22, 2021 evening to ask about it and then found the instagram of another public community health center #puskesmasgambiran with their whatsapp number. The next morning, I asked about their vaccination schedule. They sent the poster about first dose of Astra Zeneca vaccination on Aug 24, 2021 so I registered right away through google document. What a holy coincidence! I got the vaccine in less than 10 minutes. I am grateful that they have social media and response quickly so I will be fully vaccinated upon arriving in US. It my first time to go to public community health centre. I felt a little bit painful in the upper arm for few days.
