Sharing: Thanksgiving Mass and Blessing for the New Assignment (updated on Sep 24, 2022)

The left picture was taken candidly in front of a grotto in Indonesia in 2005, the starting point of my discernment to religious life.  The Holy Family statue was a gift from Holy Family Parish Shenzhen in 2015.  The flower was from funeral Mass on Sep 17, 2022 at Rosary Chapel: a holy coincidence!

Thank you very much for your presence, blessing, prayers, and gifts.
It's a blessing to be a Maryknoll Sister especially at the Maryknoll's first love (=China) and I plan to stay longer but after prayerful discernment and with the support of our region and my spiritual director, I have peacefully decided to exercise my vow of obedience for the new assignment at the Maryknoll Sisters Center-New York effective till June 2029 (if I still alive😅).
May God continue to bless you with good health, joy, peace and bring blessings for others.

Hong Kong, September 18, 2022
with love and prayers,

Let's do simple things with simple love to make God's love visible

Sharing: The Last Day in Shenzhen (Sep 2012-2022)

The last supper with two Fr. Lu and parishioners of Holy Family Church on Sep 2 P.M.  The Church was closed (again) starting on Aug 27 P.M.

Farewell gift designed by one of the youth Mr. Wu based on my "Love" logo

The building of my single apartment kindness of one of the Catholics for the last 10 years.  We need to show and or scan our health code (depend on the pandemic level) to enter the estate.

My exit permit card from the estate on Sep 3.  It's a quiet weekend on Sep 3-4 due to rising cases of Omicron BA. 5 (There were 87 new cases on Sep 1).  No public transport and every household was given this exit card for going out temporarily.

Shenzhen side of Shenzhen Bay port.  We need to scan the QR code of the port and fill the cross border form online to get the black barcode.

Hong Kong side of Shenzhen Bay port.

We need to do PCR test at least 3 days before arrival in Hong Kong at the medical institution that are mutually recognised by the governments of Hong Kong and Guangdong and then convert the negative test result to green QR code of Department of Health of Hong Kong to be exempted from quarantine.
I left the apartement around 8:30 A.M. and arrive our convent in Hung Shui Kiu before 11:00 A.M.
I did the PCR test result on Jul 5, 2022 as requested (besides the 14 days self monitoring) and the result was negative.
