Sharing: 2019 Pilgrimage to Bali

As per the request of Holy Family Church parish council leader, I organized a pilgrimage to Bali on April 28, 2019 till May 3, 2019.  There were 22 persons in the group including 3 parishioners from Dong Guan, Fr. Lu and I.
Here is our itinerary:
2. Tegaljaya Retreat House (CDD Retreat House)
5. Holy Spirit Cathedral https://katedraldenpasar.com/
9. Jimbaran Beach
13. Carmel Retreat House

They are grateful to see how the local Church in Bali does the inculturation.  One of the parishioners said she couldnt recognize whether we visited a Church or a temple as the architecture of (the outside) Church looks like the architecture of the Temple.
Mr. He was our spiritual accompaniment including reading the Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions Nostra Aetate http://www.vatican.va/archive/hist_councils/ii_vatican_council/documents/vat-ii_decl_19651028_nostra-aetate_en.html.
As I got cheaper quotation through my friends recommendation, I put the balance to Holy Family Church Charity Fund.

I had a chance to meet Fr. Willy, CDD, who baptized me 3o years ago, my senior high school friend Mrs. Dewi during our visit to Tegaljaya Retreat House and visit my family and friends in East Java.

  1. Were you able to get away from city lights and see some stars? So many people in the world never see a dark sky with many stars. The heavens still declare the glory of God, but we live with smog and light pollution.
