Kartini was a pioneer in the area of education for girls and women's rights for Indonesians.  It's a custom in Indonesia to celebrate Kartini Day by wearing traditional clothes and organizing several competitions e.g. cooking, arranging flower, decorating meals, etc.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Happy Easter! Selamat Hari Raya Paskah! 复活节快乐!

 May the Risen Christ continue to bless us with joy, peace, good health and wisdom!

 

How is your Easter celebration? Hopefully you have the chance to attend offline liturgy this year. 

There are still a few new cases in Hong Kong these days and the vaccination was started last February 26, 2021.  I got the Corminaty (Pfizer) vaccine as Sr. Michelle could bring along maximum 2 carers.  Thank God that there are public Masses starting Holy Thursday with simpler liturgy so I attended the Easter Triduum liturgy at St. Jerome’s Church http://www.stjeromeschurch.org.hk/v4/ and Indonesian Easter Sunday Mass at Christ the King Chapel http://www.srspc.org.hk/en/christ_the_king_chapel.php

We have been living with the pandemic for more than one year and wearing masks, social distancing and washing hands will continue to be the norms.  I am in line with the quotation “The virus contaminates surfaces but can not contaminate our spirits.”  https://anastasialindawatimm.blogspot.com/2021/03/poster-virus-can-not-contaminate-our.html  I couldn’t go to Shenzhen to do my ministry since end of Jan 2020 and got a very light covid-19 last Dec 2020 but I still find ways to minister and to learn to be a better minister.

      It’s been a time to express my creativity as your can see from the trilingual posters on my blog, to learn especially from Youtube: Bible documentary, psychology, near death experiences, etc, time to reflect on life, love, gratitude, and death; and also meet parishioners in Hong Kong as you can see from the pictures.  

Last year I wrote a supporting letter for annulment process of one of the youth in Shenzhen and it’s approved last Feb 2021.  A mother was distressed as her OB-GYN doctor suggested her to abort her pregnancy and her husband asked her to do so.  I convince her to keep the baby.  She gave birth last Feb 2021 and the third child was loved by everybody in the family.  Several years ago, I showed the clip of “foetus development” and then she said she aborted her third child.  

Several people decluttered their home during #stayhome mode so we get several donations e.g. clothes, shoes, walker, food, etc and I also share it with the people in needs.

I am grateful that Mr. Koko re-made my song on Magnificat: “My Soul Sings Praise to You, O Lord” and was released digitally on April 30, 2021 https://anastasialindawatimm.blogspot.com/2016/10/song-my-soul-sings-praise-to-you-o-lord.html   I use the music on my videos for Youtube.

Let’s continue to pray together for the ending of the Covid-19 pandemic.  It’s heartbroken to see the struggles of the people both ill and healthy in facing this pandemic as it’s not only effect their well being but also hit their financial situation hardly.
