Sharing: Ministry without Border part II

 

Here is the scope of my ministry without border:

1. Set up We Chat Group chatting as follows:

A. 6 groups chatting for the youth based on the city  （Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shantou etc, Foshan, Dongguan, Small Guangdong), total more than 360 members
B. 3 groups chatting for Single Catholics (Under 40 yo, under 30 yo and Northern Catholics), total more than 400 members
C. 1 group chatting for above 35 yo Single Catholics, 17 members
D. 1 group chatting for Looking for Dating, total 28 members
E. 1 group chatting for Marriage Preparation Program, total 7 members
F. 1 group chatting for Alumnae of Marriage Preparation Program, total 45 members
G. 1 group chatting for Participants of Renewal of Marriage Vows, total 21 members
H. 3 group chatting for Priests and 1 group chatting for seminarians, total 112 members
I. 1 group chatting for Sisters, total 45 members
J. 1 group chatting for married parishioners in Shenzhen, total 115 members
K. 1 group chatting for parishioners outside Shenzhen, total 53 members
L. 1 group chatting for everyone who is adding me as friend through the group chatting, total 36 members

I categorized my We Chat contacts (almost 1,500 contacts) and deleted almost 100 contacts last month as they added me as friend but never let me know their names and now I have 1,480 contacts.

Many youth doesn’t want to enter Single Catholics group as they don’t want to be too serious in looking for boyfriend/girlfriend yet so I invites all the members of Single Catholics group to enter Youth group based on the city so they have double membership even though many didn’t interested to do so.

         2. Create posters to be forwarded to the group chatting (also available in English and Indonesian for my English social media)

3. Online 3 Sessions Marriage Preparation Program total 15 hours through Teng Xun Hui Yi because one of the couples will have sacrament of matrimony in early October.   It’s not easy as the internet connection sometimes was not stable.  I even went to St. Jerome’s Church but their internet connection was not better than ours.  Here is the sharing of the participants after the program:

参加婚前辅导前，我们的想法是如果两个人相爱，就在一起，如果有一天不爱了，那就分开，硬生生的绑架在一起更痛苦，对家庭和孩子都没有好处。特别是经常看到那么多夫妻离婚的，觉得分开也不是什么坏事。  通过参加圣家堂婚姻辅导，听到过来人的见证，我们相信婚姻和生活从来都不是一帆风顺的，而是有困难的，在困难面前，我们要坚定不移的相信天主的爱，相信天主会赐给我们勇气和力量，去努力奋斗战胜一切，天主是忠信的，不会给我们超过我们所能承受的，不要害怕。夫妻在天主的爱内，齐心协力的解决问题才是最简单可行的办法，比分开或争吵更省力气。
       我们体会到自己的爱人才是这一生中最重要的人，不管什么时候都是排在第一位，有了孩子，爱人也是最重要的，同时还要做好孩子的教育，承担家庭的责任，未来不管发生了什么，爱人家庭比什么都重要，用自己的一生履行爱的誓言！（郭希少&范琳芳2020.9.20）
 
       通过圣家堂婚前辅导，静心感受到彼此是双方最美的礼物。我们也理解到未来婚姻生活还很漫长，婚前婚后的生活是不一样的，婚后难免会碰到许多生活上不同习惯造成的问题，我们应相互包容，相互容忍，相互交谈 相互分享。同时在日常生活中，要给予双方一定的私人空间。 制定共同的目标，组建属于我们的幸福家庭。（林衍堃&林莉 2020.9.20）

Several parishioners and coordinator of Shenzhen Volunteer in Luo Hu hospital asked several times when will I go back to Shenzhen.  I only can pray that Hong Kong will be government will apply the health code system for cross border travellers soon so I can return to Shenzhen without mandatory quarantine together for 14 days.

Sep 25, 2020:

One of the youth just let me know that their parents want their Sacrament of Matrimony on October 1 and the celebration will be on Dec 19.  Their parents don’t want to arrange marriage on Nov and Dec because Nov is the month for praying for all the souls and it’s Advent in Dec.  After trying to ask her to negotiate with their parents to postpone the Sacrament between Oct 12 - 30 or after Dec 26 was failed, I will arrange a marriage preparation program on Sep 27, Sep 28 and Sep 30.

Saat ini seorang wanita Indonesia, yang ditangkap ditangkap pada bulan Juli 2020 lalu,  berada di Tai Lam Center for Women setelah diminta temannya (orang Indonesia yang punya pacar bernama Desmond http://hkdrugblog.org/name-and-shame/Desmond-O-Desmond/index.htm) untuk mengambil paket.

Sejak tahun 2013, saya sudah bertemu sekitar 16 orang wanita Indonesia di Tai Lam center for Women (salah satu penjara wanita di Hong Kong) yang terkena masalah narkoba baik pemakai atau dijebak orang lain.  Jumlahnya pasti lebih dari ini karena saya mengunjungi napi wanita yang berbahasa Indonesia, Inggris dan Mandarin, yang tidak mendapat kunjungan lebih dari 3 bulan.

Mohon hati-hati dalam berteman (termasuk orang Indonesia) terutama bila diminta tolong untuk mengambil/menerima paket. Jangan sungkan menolak, baik secara halus maupun terus terang.
