Several volunteers and I organized Taize prayer for Christian Unity Prayer week at Holy Family Church on January 21, 2017. We had supper together before the Taize prayer.
Fr. Lu led the opening prayer followed by short introduction about Christian Unity Prayer Week (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Week_of_Prayer_for_Christian_Unity) and Taize prayer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiz%C3%A9_Community) by Mr. Liu.
Mrs. Sun prepared the power point presentation for the Taize prayer and Ms. Yun led the prayer. Ms. Zhao read the Biblical passage for this year theme “Reconciliation: For the love of Christ compels us (2 Cor 5: 14 – 20) and the prayer of the faithful http://www.hkecumenical.org/index.php/prayer-of-faithful.html. Ms. Xie sang several prayers of the faithful too.
The Taize prayer ended around 7:45 p.m. followed by anticipated Sunday Mass at 8:00 p.m.
