Renewal of Marriage Vows

 Greetings from Hong Kong!

How was your Christmas celebration?  Hopefully you have a nice Christmas celebration with family and friends even if it's a virtual celebration.

This year is a special year, it

s installed with covid-19!  My last day in Shenzhen was January 23, 2020, almost a year ago!  I continue my cyber ministry including a session of marriage preparation program on Dec 26 https://anastasialindawatimm.blogspot.com/2020/09/sharing-ministry-without-border-part-ii.html.

Memorial Mass for Maryknollers China  Region

I am glad that several youth proactively ask the schedule of marriage preparation program ahead of time.

It is the fourth wave of Covid-19 in Hong Kong since last month so there is no public Masses (for the third time this year) starting Dec 2.  I am grateful that I could attend both Christmas vigil and Christmas day offline Masses.  I was one of the four wave victims.  I spent almost half of Advent season to recover from Covid-19 https://anastasialindawatimm.blogspot.com/2020/12/sharing-life-at-asia-world-expo.html

Here are several pictures during this year: annual retreat, Memorial Mass for Maryknollers China region, Diaconate ordination of Guadalape Missionaries, Mid Autumn Festival, Pastoral Sisters meeting, 知命乐天Sessions (https://anastasialindawatimm.blogspot.com/2020/03/article-introduction-to-4-parts-of.html), visiting our two cemeteries (total 12 sisters were buried in Hong Kong), first anniversary of missionary of childhood association, Maryknoll Thanksgiving celebration, and Jubilee celebration.

As my daily habit is a Polo shirt, I design a Polo shirt with embroidery logo

in Pink and Blue color https://anastasialindawatimm.blogspot.com/2020/11/design-polo-shirt-love_29.html.  Hopefully it can be an income generating project for the Catholics.

There were seven couples participated on the renewal of marriage vows at Holy Family Church during the Holy Family Feast Day.  Here is the link of the ceremony: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s?__biz=MjM5MjEyNTA0Mw==&mid=2650679967&idx=1&sn=253156b8d57d8d40776e81ff709ac94d&chksm=bea1938389d61a95f7860f922fca9dd921f06639e0ad06c68d38397484fd5c3645c6aa9cb885&mpshare=1&scene=1&srcid=0104CtRoioCTYUNlNo2m3kiq&sharer_sharetime=1609763490514&sharer_shareid=2eeeeff8822f11ed801857f4b05dbd2c&exportkey=A17tjGvdyGYSeHhasH0EYgM%3D&pass_ticket=lYXs8vKhXGannK%2BfSbtkpcM2rE4emZ2okAg94NIbGAYa8ZwBGU9vZTwexX3Pp0H4&wx_header=0#rd

Many times there are several small things that presented in my life as a way to make God
s love visible including sharing papaya and banana leaves from our garden to several Indonesians One of the elderly women of our Church asked her Indonesian helper to ask me when will the Church be opened two weeks ago.  She usually attends the daily Masses.  I asked Fr. Santoso if she can receive Holy Communion at Church and then let the helper know.  Two days ago, she asked her helper again when will the Church be opened so the helper asked Fr. Santoso about it and then brought her to Church to receive Holy Communion.  One of the Indonesians asked my suggestion about her employer, who often hit her in her first two weeks, so I asked her to take picture and video of the assault as an evidence for follow up.  Hopefully the assault will end soon.

Thank you very much for your support, love and prayers during 2020!

  2. Today is Jan. 23, 2021, one year since your last day in Shenzhen. So much has happened during the past painful year. I also attend some online meetings. The first time, someone told me I could remove my facemask.
