After attending the Center for the Study of Consecrated Life Lecture on Religious Life Encountering Synodality https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uh8DCCsoX8, I got the idea to organize an online Putonghua talk on "Introduction of Synod on Synodality 2021-2023" by Auxiliary Bishop of Hong Kong, Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-Shing, OFM https://catholic.org.hk/en/%E9%A6%99%E6%B8%AF%E6%95%99%E5%8D%80%E8%BC%94%E7%90%86%E4%B8%BB%E6%95%99/ for priests on Jan 19 and sisters on Jan 21 but finally both sessions were opened for both priests and sisters.
I downloaded all the materials from Hong Kong Diocese website https://catholic.org.hk/en/synod21-23/ and sent it to the participants before the talk.
There were 9 priests and 3 sisters from several dioceses registered for Jan 19 morning HKT and 10-11 of them attended the talk, which was cut off 5 times. Around 15 priests and sisters gathered at a retreat house in Anyang to attend the talk followed by adoration. They are grateful for the talk especially for the topic Special Conversation and hope to have more talks in the future.
There were 21 sisters and 1 priest from several dioceses registered for Jan 21 afternoon HKT and 11-14 of them attended the talk, which went smoothly. Several of them faced difficulty to enter the meeting room and several had another commitment. They are grateful for the talk especially for the topik Special Conversation and ask for next talk.
Hopefully they will lead the synodal process in their dioceses.
One of the volunteers at Holy Family Church helped to issue the prayer e-card in simplified Chinese and I forwarded it (and also the introduction on Synod) to many group chattings.
